The James Patterson Community

Hello to all the community members who decide to read this. Yes, this isn't a book review, or an author spotlight, or a poem...it's another personal update from my life. Fun stuff, I know lol. But I've become wicked busy lately, so I haven't been making my normal presence on here as much as I usually do. But I figured, for those who care, then here is an update of all things me!!! lol

Well, I finished my schools Winter Carnival a few weeks ago. For those I didn't tell, or for those who don't know what a Winter Carnival is, I shall explain. For one week, the whole school comes together. Each class (seniors to freshman) compete in events, both during and after school. Things like tug-of-war, talent show, lip synch, and all sorts of stuff. Each class selects different representatives for their "king and queen". This year, I got to be the junior king. Seniors ended up winning, but it's alright. Juniors got second, and I got a wicked cool consolation prize. So it's all good.

The biggest thing to happen to me is undoubtably in the love life department. Anyone who has read certain blogs knows exactly how good my love life was, but for those who don't know/remember, here's a quick summary. It was non-existant. But that all changed three or four weeks ago, when I met the most amazing girl thanks to fate, and MySpace.

I had just gotten a MySpace of my own last November (I know, I'm with the times lol). So a few months before, I recieve a friend request from this girl named Kimberly. I check her out, and realize I have no idea who she is. She doesn't go to my school, I don't believe we'd ever met in person before. But she's from New Hampshire, and looked very cute, so I added her. Well, one night, about a month ago, I was really frustrated with myself. So I got on my MySpace, and did a rant/free write blog. Kim had left me a wicked nice comment on that blog. It said basically this: "I know I don't know you. But if you ever wanna talk...I'm a good listener".

So I sent her a message the next time she was online. I asked her, if she didn't know me, then why did she friend request me. She told me it was because she thought at the time I looked like someone else. But we kept talking, we learned more about each other, and eventually we both realized that we liked each other. So we continued to talk for a week, through the internet and texting. Then I decided to invite her out to a group movie thing I was having with some friends that Friday night. I knew I had to be with her the moment I saw her. We got to know each other better after the movies, holding and kissing and whatnot. But I was so caught up in the wonderful moment of her... I forgot to ask her to be my girlfriend. But it was alright, because the next week our two schools were playing basketball against each other. She went to the game, as did I. We made it official then. So now I have something to look forward to on February 6th!!!

School in general now has become sort of a chore. Pointless standardized tests, one after another after another. Drills where every student is placed in the gym for two to three hours. The administration called it "Saftey in Place". It was in case of some sort of bio-hazard scare. Come to find out, they used the time to sniff out drugs in the school without telling us. Now, I wouldn't have had a problem with this (because I don't do any drugs, nor do I intend to), but the deceitfulness of it all made me a little grumpy.

As for my latest reading material, I am now reading "The Rabbit Factory" by Marshall Karp. Expect a review soon. Though I will tell you right now I am thoroughly enjoying the book. After that, I have two more of Mr. Karp's books to read, plus the 7th WMC book, and the rest of the Max Ride novels (I have only read the 1st). That is in addition to the 40 or so books I had bought before hand to read. So I have alot on my plate, you could say.

Well, that's all the relative information I can think of at this time. If you have any questions, comments, statements, whatever...then send me a message or comment on here. Or if you have a MySpace, then look me up at:
