Fern Michaels, and her highly enjoyable band of vigilantes, are at it again. In the latest book in the Sisterhood series, the ladies band together and take their unique brand of justice to Sin City.
Through the years, Myra, Annie, Kathryn, Nikki, Alexis, Yoko, and Isabelle have been through alot. Taking on the lowest of the low, people who have slipped through the justice system. The Sisterhood makes sure that no bad deed goes unpunished, and they are in Las Vegas to stop a multi-billion dollar scam.
Marble Rose Barnes is a simple school teacher. She rarely went to the casinos, until a car accident seemed to lead her inside the ritzy doors of several casinos. No matter how long she played, how much she spent, she always managed to win the big bucks. This caught the eye of the Nevada Gaming Commision, who have been keeping their eyes on massive losses to the town's normally busling gambling industry. But it isn't just Marble Rose they are concerned with. It's the Head of Security at the Babylon casion, Hank Owens. He, and his inner circle of goons that keep him in the lap of luxury, have come under scrutiny. The NGC wants Owens and his gang stopped at all costs. And when you want something done on the sly, you want the best. And the Sisterhood is the best at what they do. But can they sneak in and out of the security heavy town with all their "chips" in tact?
The book was an enjoyable little romp, but from reading it, you can tell that it is mearly a set up book. The story jumps at times, so that things that one minute seem important end up being inconsiquential, and vice versa. The book is a tool to set up bigger missions for the Sisters.
I reccomend the book, but it is not Fern Michaels best, by far.
