The James Patterson Community

Hey everyone!

We all love James' books, and sometimes it's easy to forget that he wasn't always a writer. Like, he was born in a town and raised there and went to school and then left for college from there.

That town is called Newburgh and it's in New York state, and last week he went back there the first time in long long long time. He got a pretty big welcome, I can tell you that much!

Below are some pictures from the event. He got introduced by a former classmate, met the mayor of Newburgh, and got to talk to his old 5th grade teacher Betty O’Mara! Amazing! Plus, the whole event was to benefit local schools.

I cant believe that Mrs O'Mara was his 5th grade teacher too. She was mine at St. Joseph Elementary in New Windsor.

I would like to know if you give any input on writting stories. And or if you could suggest someone that could help me. I would like to write a novel, based on a true story from upstate NY. (Oneonta). Reading your Romance stories, I know that my story is borderline with the ones that you have written. I have gone back and forth on writting it, because Im not sure if a few people would be upset with me. But it is a true love story and made the news. But not many people know the whole story. If you or anyone could give me some ideas of how to get either a Ghost writter and editor and publisher please tell me.
