I still have to go buy a gift card for Red Loberster or Applebees for my brother and his family. They don't sell them at Target....LOL. Everybody elses came from there. I'm a one stop shop person. HA HA. So John Grishoms new book isn't that good huh!! I'll have to remember that. It has been so cold here all I want to do is curl up by the fireplace and do nothing. I haven't read since I hurt my eye, but I might give it a try tonight. It was watering this afternoon, but I think it was all the dry cold air outside. I put extra eye drop medicine in it so it feels better now. I just fixed biscuits and gravy for dinner so I can relax the rest of the night. Maybe I'll consider that book now. TTYL

No telling what I really typed...LOL It probably looked like my little nieces typed it. But I guess I got the point across. I finally just called my friends and told them. I even called the wrong people at first. It was pretty comical. Now that my eye is getting better and I know there is no permanante damage I can laugh about it, but that night all I could do was cry and get mad. It wasn't a good time at all. But thanks to my friend Michelle she made me forget all my troubles and just be happy again. I think I have a little angel sitting on my shoulder making me smile now. Good luck coat hunting for the birthday present. That must be hard having a birthday so close to Christmas. I have a few cousins that have theirs the day before and the day after. They always felt like they got cheated out of their b-day gifts. I need to X-mas shopping myself. TTYL

I am waiting for it to come out in paperback, which will be forever. Just like I Alex Cross and Ford County. I thought of you when I saw Ford County. Isn't that funny. I had a bad week, but then Sat. everything turned around for me.
Okay Thursday night I was cooking dinner for dad and hot grease popped into my left eye. I didn't go to the ER, and waited til the next morning. I had this white file stuff over it. Well anyways I went to the doctor, she sent me over to an eye specilist and they checked to make sure I didn't burn the cornia. It's fine now, well getting better, just a little blurry. I had plans to shopping with an old friend I haven't seen in 15 years on Sat. but I called her Fri. night and cancelled.
She showed up anyways Sat. at noon and kinapped me...LOL She said we were just going to get some lunch. I got home at 9p.m. She took me to the mall and bought me new cloths and we even went to Victoria Secrets...I never shop there. I was so shocked. She has a good life now and is able to do this. I helped her out 22 years when she had her 1st child and was all alone. I had a good job and not many bills so I bought her everything she needed for the baby. I barley remember that but she said she will forget what I did for her and Chelsi. She wanted to pay me back somehow so she says this is her "PAY IT FORWARD" I cried all night last night, because no one has ever done something so nice for me before. I think I believe in SANTA CLAUS again...LOL

I rested all day yesterday and didn't do anything. Today I just went out to get a few things in case the weather gets to bad we can't get out. SO far it's just rain with a little ice, but the snow is supposed to start in a few hours. How much we'll get no body knows. The temps. keep going up and down so we don't really have any slick roads yet. So you didn't like I Alex Cross huh. I hear that his niece gets murdered in it. I haven't heard anything about Trial. I can't wait to read both of them. Maybe I'll get lucky and get them for Christmas. I remember last year dad bought me Cross Country. That was nice. Well my brother just came in. I have to fill out the football sheet for the football pot..that I never win...LOL He needs the papers back tonight. GOtta go . TTYL

At 10:42am on December 7, 2009, Sarah Thomas said…: I know all the Pearl Harbor Day thing living with dad and all. We didn't get any snow really, just this slushy ice stuff that is making everything real messy. But tomorrow it is supposed to get real bad. I had a really busy day yesterday like always. I went out to breakfast with Eric and then to Target to do my monthly shopping and while I was there my nephew called and said him and his wife were going to come out and cook a pot of potato soup. I thought that sound fine since I wouldn't have to cook. By the time I got home my kitchen was a DISASTER!! How they could make such a mess I have no idea but after everyone left by like 5 it took 3 hours to clean the living room and vacuum all the crackers up, then the dining room and get all the sticky stuff off the table AND THEN I tackled the kitchen.....OH that was fun!!! Then I baked dad 4 dozen cookies and did 3 loads of laundry. I had a full day let me tell ya. I went to bed at 11 and I am still exhausted. It is so cold outside ( 27 I think) that all I want to do is crawl back in bed and hide. I wish I had the extra money for the Toys for Tots. I would love to donate to that. I am going to have a hard enough time getting our kids something. So much for the Joy of Christmas. Well I think I'll go sit by the fireplace, I'm freezing. TTYL

At 9:21am on December 7, 2009, Kay said…: I don't decorate for Christmas anymore, not that I ever did much anyway, since I never had any kids to do stuff for except my dogs and they don't care if I put anything up or not!. My neighbor across the street has her house decorated real pretty, so at least I do have a pretty view to look at when she has has all of her lights turned on.

I guess we're about 250 or more miles N. of Houston. I haven't been that direction in about 20 yrs. As you can tell we never go anywhere.

At 8:27am on December 3, 2009, Kay said…: My pc needed a new hard drive, I sure missed it when it wasn't working to. That is the first thing I do when I get up is turn it on. We might have snow again Friday, probably not much though, we really don't get much snow around here. It snowed a little yesterday morning and it sure was pretty coming down, it didn't last though. 30 is cold to me, I'm a sissy when it comes to cold weather, I don't like to get out much beause I don't like to wear coats at all.
