I just finished 3 great books: JP's THE QUICKIE, Michael Connelly THE BRASS VERDICT and Andrew Gross THE BLUE ZONE. All 3 were ones I couldn't put down. I recommend them to everyone!

Cross Country is the only JP book I could not finish; content too violent for me. Reading Carla Neggers THE CARRIAGE HOUSE. Now that to me is entertaining and relaxing. Found her book at library book sale, will need to look for more of her books.

My Elizabeth George book is a long read. Still haven't gotten to the half way part yet. Oh well, I will sooner or later.

Just started Elizabeth George's With No One As Witness, It is a long story but is very good. Will take me about a week to read it. Also reading Robert B Parker School Days. Now that's a fast moving book. Glad to be back again.

I agree about being swamped with e-mails. I too have to do something. Just finished a different sort of book McKettrick's Choice by Linda Lael Miller. Picked it up at a book sale and didn't realize she writes in series. Once I got into it, it was a…

Hi Henrietta. Friday 2-6 . I have been thinking about your for a long time. I realized yesterday that we have not visited in several days and I just feel so comfortable talking with you about everyting. It is so good that I can just be me and talk with you like we are in the same room. Thank god for my finding you on this web site. As I write this letter I am looking outside and the sky is blue but the temperature is 38. At walk time 10 am. told cold under 29. We will be going into town tomorrow an I will make up for the walking then.
As I write this letter to you right below I am reading a letter to you from Rebecca Kleinbrink. Wow she is going thrugh alot. I have a very similar situation with my neck and disc injuries. When I was seeing a pain control specialist about 3 or 4 years ago for about two years we had reached the point of the injections with steroids were not helping but for about 5 weeks. We discussed the stimulator, i saw one and it was explained to me what it would curtail. The surgery involved, how to use the settings and I thought about this for about a week saw him later. I decided against it. However, I did have a major surgery on October 3, 2003 by a wonderful neurologist. He took bone from the illiac crest on the left side rebuilt c3-c7 and had a spinal fusion. I have a titanium plate in my neck. I guess when I fly I will probably set off alarms. Had pt for about a year. Sort of helped. I had this therapist who was such a bitch that I tried as hard as I could to comply with the exercises and I spent alot of time shedding tears and she just told me babies only cry. that was my last day there. Forgive me for opening up to you about this situation.
I am so glad we can visit whenever. Thank you for being you. Stay warm. Take care. More later. Barb

Henrietta, I guess I put that backwards. I have the stimulator in my neck and will be getting one in the low back once the insurance give certification. This is a Spinal Cord Stimulator and it has a small battery pack implanted under the skin on my side and then the lead (wires) go up through the spinal column in my upper back (between the shoulder blades) and into my neck. I have a remote that give me 4 different settings. This stimulator changes the nerve pain signal from pain to a tingling sensation which is a lot more pleasant. I had 2 disc fusions on my next after an auto accident. I have titanium from C2-C7 and the surgeries caused damage to the nerves. My lower back is from an old injury when I slipped on ice when I was 7 months pregnant with my first child and she will be 34 in April. I've had flare up ever since but now because of the added weight and not being able to move about with out any pain, the condition has worsened. My Spinal Doc thinks the stimulator will give me more relief then surgery and I think so too. My parent have both had several back operations and they are not any better!

yeah I liked the commercial for Bud Light with the horses where the horse went and fetched a huge stick, I also liked the one where he went to the circus or what not because he was in love. I love those horse commercials too bad they only show them during the superbowl.

I am the same way with the vision and also have Rheumatoid, Fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel and several other issues. I usually work on 14 count only because I can see that during daylight if I also turn on my Ott lamp. Biggest problem is seeing the pattern. So we're keeping it simple and not doing anything too complex these days. I also crochet for 15-20 minute periods and then put it down for a bit before having another go at it. I then get up from my chair and do something else like sweep a floor, wash some dishes, cook, etc. That's how my dr said to work it and it seems to help. I just do little bit of anything at a time and then go to something else.

I can't believe your hubby mutes the commercials. I couldn't imagine it being 20 degrees I complain when it hits low 40s. I will be happy once Spring arrives I wonder what mr. groundhog is gonna say this year.

Thanks again Henrietta your the best. I lost my mom four years ago and I don't have anyone to ask questions like this too. I'll try this out tonight as soon as I make a run to the store for more supplies for dinner for dad. I'll write ya later and tell ya how it turns out.TTYL

Hi thanks for the add. I loveeeee lighthouses. Yeah I am now on Chapter 27 and plan to get some more reading time in between my errands running and work here this weekend. Mary Higgins Clark is a great author. I can't wait to read her Two Little Girls in Blue book.
