I'm 42, married, and mother of 2. I'm disabled, and can't get out much. The Patterson books have saved my sanity! I discovered his books not too long ago and have been hooked ever since. I love to read, do arts and crafts, cook, watch suspense fillled and horror movies, and spend time with my family and dogs.
What is your favorite James Patterson book?
I can't narrow it down! Every time I think I've read the best one, I find another one just as good if not better. I am, however, partial to the Alex Cross novels.
How many Patterson's have you read?
I'm an Alex Cross aficionado., Whatever I can get my hands on!, I'm a Patterson Rookie.
Why are you here?
Reading groups and gab., Sleuthing and thrills and maybe the off Murdertini!, Any friend of James is a friend of mine!

Hi Dena you can't imagine how glad I am to hear from you. I have thought of you so many times and wondered how your are doing. No you had not answered my note before. So sorry that you have still have not had your surgery and maybe your church weigh down will help. I havn't had much luck trying to lose weight but at my age my metabolism is almost nil. I have 30 years on you as I am 72. I spent new years with my daughter so that was nice as she doesn't live here. I took the train its only 3 hours. Hows your puppy dog. Hope you can keep in touch. Regards
Hello from Tacoma Wa. I also am disabled and cannot get around much! I agree that reading good books does keep you from going nuts! Seein how you enjot reading James Pattersons Books I suggest you check out some of Tom Clancy's books as well. Also Dean Koontz and Patricia Cornwell, particularly her Scarpetta series! I think you would enjoy them, I know I am hooked! Check them out. What is your disability?
Happy Thanksgiving,
When you have a moment, please check out my JP endorsed suspense novel, Sudden Death. It's the first book in my Deadly Sports Mysteries series. If James Paterson liked it...
Thank you in advance for your support.
I hope you like the book as much as JP did. It will make a great gift for any sports or mystery lover on your holiday list.
Here's what I do to keep track~~~~
I like to go to www.fantasticfiction.com and search authors that I like. Then I copy the list to my Microsoft Works Word Processor. Print them out and keep them in a note book binder so when I go to the library I know what I have already read and what I am still wanting to read. Sounds silly but it works for me!
I also take advantage of the library on the Marine base when I go visit my son because it is much larger and has a great variety of older as well as newer books. My town is really small (only 85 square miles with only one traffic light!) and so is the library which makes it is kind of limited. They do, do inter-library loans which is pretty cool. You write down the book you are looking for and they try to borrow it from another librarty and call you when it comes in. I love it!
Hey there Dena!
Just finished reading "Swine Not?" by Jimmy Buffett and it was a cute light reading story about a pet pig.
Being the library junkie that I am I just checked out a bunch more!
"From Baghdad with Love" by Jay Kopelman, Melinda Roth about the dog the Marine rescued in Fallujiah and had sent to the US.
"Manhunt"; "Getting Rid of Bradley"; "Don't Look Down" all by Jennifer Crusie.
"The Lost Gardens" by Anthony Eglin
"Catering To Nobody" by Diane Mott Davidson
"Her Royal Spyness" by Rhys Bowen
"God Save The Queen" by Dorothy Cannell
"Alone" by Elizabeth Benedict
"Orchid Beach" by Stuart Woods
Have you read any of these authors? If so, what did you think? Delete Comment
Hi Dena, great to hear from you. I am still waiting for Sail from my library so am reading whatever I find at the library. Ijust finished Faye Kellerman's new book. It was slow. I have a new Alafar Burke book to read and found another author which is light very easy reading. She is Diane Mott Davidson. You can look up her website if you want to but she is nothing as nobody is like JP. As far as the movies I really have no idea what is going on. Take care and TTYS
Regards
Good Mornin" Dena
Just got my 11 yr. old , Giovanni off to his first day of Middle School. (insert tears here). He looked so small. Do you know what I mean? He's in football, and had his first practice last eve. Those lil" guys are the cutest in all those pads and football gear. Priceless!!!
I'm reading Strangers in Death by Robb right now and about 1/3 way through. Love it so far. I've read most of that series.
Have you read any of those? Hope your having a good health day. Smile Tami
