I just went and purchased Lee Childs killing floor, because someone awhile ago was talking about his series, and of course I have to start from the beginning. I hope it is good.

Jennifer I love Charlaine Harris and the Sookie Stackhouse series also! I would like to suggest reading the Harper Connely series. There is only like 4 books and they are about as long as the Sookie series.

I haven't been on in forever. I'm reading Definitely Dead. The 6th Sookie Stackhouse book. I'm totally sucked into them right. Recommend them to everyone!! I also read the most current House of the Night book, Tempted and it's not fair that we have to wait for another one now!

I have also tried reading the Lestat books and cannot get into them. Im hoping that after I finish my JP books maybe I can stick to the Ann Rice ones.

I liked Tale of the body thief, that was one of her best vampire books. I also liked Queen of the damned it was so much better than the movie. She has one that I just randomly chose and it is called Blackwood Farm. It was a long book but very interesting. I am going to try and tackle her book the witching hour soon. It's been on my shelf for awhile now and i just bypass it and keep choosing others that i have bought. It's 900 pages.

Lestat was the hardest book to get into but the rest were very good and held my interest right to the last book in the vampire series. I suggest you have another try annmarie and I do agree with all deidre says. A lot more in depth than the twilight books.

I have read Anne Rice also and if you like quick pace i don't suggest her as a read, she is slow in the beginning, but they always come together at the end. She is very descriptive and likes to pull you into the place she is describing, or the person she is describing
