I think no doubt that Alex loves Maria but he has to move on at some point...But after what happened in Cross Counrty in Africa with that one girl (cant remember her name) he seemed to wanna kiss her and maybe more..So it may be hard to tell at this point..Idk if settling down with another detective is his style...I have good hopes for Brianna and Alex!!

No!!!!! Don't let them get married! I discovered Alex Cross earlier this year and I have read from the beginnint to Cross Double Cross. I am starting the next one tomorrow. I hope James Patterson brings Christine back into the picture. There is a point back in one of the books where there is a scene with a lawyer and then Christine seemed to be scared of something and then it was never brought up again. It was a bitt wierd that she took baby Alex and then suddenly gave him back. I hope thare is a diobolical plan that made her abandon her baby and then take the baby and give him back again.

Maria's murder has been solved. But do something to bring back Christine into the fold and have his family be whole again. Show us what Christine has been doing to make herself whole over the past few years so she can reclaim her rightful place in Alex's family. I don't like that her strong charachter was shredded to peices after her bad experience.

Besides, this would make it very intellectually stimulating. The last couple of books have been a bit predictable.

i hope not. She seems more into him than he is into her. It's like he barely even tells her even loves her. I think he asked her to marry him because he is getting older, his kids need some kind of mother figure, and NaNa is getting older and weaker. Like someone said-he needs a NEW love in his life. I really wished Christine got her marbles right.
